Welcome to the official website of the annual Shamrock Festival volleyball tournament, where you will find all of the information you need to ensure that your team and its fans enjoy our tournament. As always, the tournament will be held in the Roanoke Valley for teams in the 12’s, 14’s, 15 Club, 16’s, and 18’s Divisions with teams in the 13’s, 15’s, and 17’s age divisions all playing in the higher age groups. Teams are seeded based on results so that all teams play teams of increasingly similar strength as the tournament progresses. All teams (except 12’s) are guaranteed 7-10 matches during tournament weekend. The Shamrock Festival annually hosts up to 200 teams from VA, NC, PA, MD, DE, TN, SC, & WV and often includes teams from 6-8 different USAV regions so you are likely to play multiple teams that you have never played before. Historically, Shamrock has also attracted teams from as far north as NY & NJ and as far south as GA & FL. In addition, we attract dozens of college coaches from all over the East Coast each year. Follow all of the tournament action on AES with match results updated in real-time throughout the tournament on AES. Tournament registration opens in November and is also handled through AES. Teams will be accepted - pending availability - upon receipt of a signed Entry Form, upon full payment of team entry fees, and upon confirmation that the team’s hotel rooms have been booked through Traveling Teams (N/A for local teams). You are strongly encouraged to register and mail your payment early as the tournament typically fills up quickly. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us anytime.
